Francesca Cesarini is the winner of Italia’s Got Talent 2023. With an exciting sporting pole performance, the 16-year-old conquered and moved the audience who decreed her victory. The competitor won the coveted prize of 100 thousand euros, placing herself in first place among the 10 finalists who arrived at the last episode of the talent show. Who is Francesca Cesarini
Francesca was born with a malformation, limb agenesis (failure to develop the two upper limbs and one lower limb). She was born without hands and learned to do everything without them. At 9 months she was fitted with a prosthesis on her lower limb to help her walk. However, she has always rejected prosthetic arms. They were in her way. They weighed on her and even at school she couldn’t write well. In 2019 the decision to practice pole sport came. She says that she doesn’t know how this idea came to her: perhaps from social media, perhaps from a dream… The fact is that she arrived and something clicked there. In 2021 and 2022 she participated in the Italian parapole championships and won them (she is the only competitive athlete in Italy with her type of disability) and she won the world title in 2021. It was not easy to get to where she is arrived. There were difficult days when the exercises didn’t work. There were tears and bruises, but she never gave up. In her there is not only the determination to have chosen a sport where the arms do practically 90% of the work, and to do it in an excellent way, but also the maturity to joke about her disability, the spontaneity and freshness of her 15 years, the wonder in his eyes that get excited when he talks about his sport.
