Who will be the first to launch a phone with Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1

by time news

Following Qualcomm’s official announcement of the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1, the manufacturers are in a hurry to announce phones that they will equip with the new processor. Some are already claiming originality, although official and final departure dates have not yet been announced by any of them.

Asus, for example, claims that the ROG Phone 6 gaming device will be the first of its kind on the market with the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1. Pictures of the device leaked to the network reveal a redesign on the back, and the leading models are expected to arrive with no less than 18 GB- Change memory.

Realme also claims the crown, promising that the GT2 Master Explorer Edition will be one of the first devices on the market with the new processor. The ‘regular’ Realme GT 2 is already available for purchase in China with the older Snapdragon 888 chipset, and it is not clear what other differences will be noted between the models. However, it seems that Rilmi has no plans for global marketing of the device, at least not under this branding.

Finally, OnePlus also promises to be one of the first on the market with a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1-based device, although its announcement on the subject does not explicitly state the name of the future device. It may be the OnePlus 10 Ultra, a flagship device that has already been mentioned in previous leaks as scheduled for launch later this year.

Qualcomm’s new processor, it will be recalled, brings on paper a 10% improvement in processing performance and graphics performance, and a saving of about 30% in energy consumption, which the manufacturer claims will translate into up to an hour and a half more battery life.
