The heat of the quota reform movement in government jobs has spread across the country. Incidents of violence have occurred in various universities of the country. Several students were injured and killed in the conflict between the parties. For the past few days, the stars of the showbiz arena have also expressed their thoughts on the matter.

On Wednesday (July 17), Chanchal Chowdhury opened up about this situation in a Facebook post. Expressing surprise, Chanchal Chowdhury wrote, ‘I returned to Dhaka last night after staying in America for about twenty days on professional work. Sitting there for a few days after seeing the news, I was shocked and saddened! Was there any other solution open? Why do you have to shoot? Couldn’t it be solved properly without shedding blood? What happened is not at all desirable, it is heartbreaking, tragic and uncivilized.

Chanchal Chowdhury, famous for ‘Ayanabaji’, wrote, ‘I am a very ordinary person and as a parent I do not understand the difficult tactics of politics! Just understand one question, who will take responsibility for the young lives that died prematurely? The mother’s chest is empty, will his cry end in a birth? Alas, unfortunate country! Stop this bloodshed in the name of dirty politics!’

Netizens commented in support of Chanchal Chowdhury’s post. Imran Hasan Shihab writes, ‘Thank you.’ Mamunur Rashid writes, ‘This is the first time I have commented on any of your posts. Let there be protest from every place.’ Jahangir Alam wrote, ‘Thank you dear actor. I was expecting such a statement from you.’ Many such comments are adorning the comment box.
