Opposition votes fell to Murmu

In the 2021 assembly elections, the DMK alliance had won 159 seats and the AIADMK alliance had won 75 seats.
Based on this, the same 159 votes should have been recorded for Yashwant Sinha, the candidate of the opposition parties, in the presidential election as well. But he got only 158 votes. That means one graft has fallen short.
At the same time, 75 MLAs of AIADMK, BJP and BMC parties in the AIADMK alliance seem to have voted for Murmu.
Invalid vote of DMK alliance MLA
Thus, it can be assumed that among the MLAs from 9 parties in the DMK alliance namely DMK, Congress, Visika, Madhyamik, Communist of India, Marxist Communist, Humanity People’s Party, Tamil Nadu Life Rights Party and Kongu Nadu People’s National Party, someone has registered his vote as invalid. .
This has also created a huge uproar in the DMK alliance.
Because it is obvious that recently some party leaders in the DMK alliance, which is said to be firm on the only stand of anti-BJP, have been secretly criticizing the DMK.

It is also possible that some of the disaffected parties cast invalid votes. He may have registered as a no vote fearing that voting in favor of Murmu would complicate matters.

Former prime minister Deve Gowda’s secular Janata Dal has two MLAs in the ruling party alliance. It was assumed that one of them might have voted in favor of Murmu. Kerala State Congress leaders and none of the MLAs in our alliance said that they did not change their party and cast their votes.
