Part of the blame for this increase in cases of the disease is due to excessive consumption of high-calorie foods, with abundant amounts of sugars (such as chocolates, syrups, industrial juices, boxed bread and tomato sauce, among some foods), which is produced from an early age in 85 percent of individuals.
