The French luggage manufacturer is betting big on licenses.

The resumption of travel since the end of the Covid pandemic is a rebirth for Delsey. After crossing the desert, the suitcase manufacturer, a (rising) challenger to the American giant Samsonite, has new ambitions, by developing licenses. The inventor of the trolley has just signed two agreements (over five years) with Benetton and Jeep, to launch lines of luggage and backpacks, under the Color Block and Jeep brands.

Already in January, Delsey joined forces with Peugeot, whose family was looking to expand its business portfolio. In the same vein, other agreements are currently being negotiated. “With Peugeot, we have developed a line of premium suitcases and bags, which is a success, rejoices Davide Traxler, CEO of Delsey since June 2021 after a career in luxury (Bulgari, Chopard, etc.). With Benetton, a more feminine brand, the offer is colorful and entry-level. With Jeep, we mainly offer very practical bags.”
