There, he met many Tamils, Tamil representatives, Sri Lankan government representatives and various party leaders.

He has prepared a long report on the people he met in Sri Lanka, their views and what needs to be done for the welfare of Tamils and sent it to the central government. In this situation, a people’s revolution broke out in Sri Lanka. The people of Sri Lanka decided to oust President Gotabaya Rajapakse. Violence broke out in many places.
Subsequently, Gothapaya decided to leave Sri Lanka. Initially, he was going to America. He was already a US citizen. Before assuming office in Sri Lanka, the president revoked it. However, he approached Dutharaka to move to the US, claiming his old citizenship.
However, American diplomatic officials have extended their hands. Subsequently, he tried to seek refuge in India through his friends in the Indian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. For this, Gotabaya chose the aircraft ‘UL-229’. This flight can go from Sri Lankan capital Colombo to Kuwait. Gotabaya’s plan was to take the flight passing through Kochi and land at Kochi. But the Government of India has told Gotabaya that it will not be fixed.
