Chennai: Tamil Nadu Governor Ravi went to New Delhi on a surprise visit yesterday morning.
Governor Ravi left for New Delhi yesterday morning at 10:35 a.m. from Chennai in the ‘Vistara’ passenger flight. His wife, assistant and security officer also accompanied him. The reason for the Governor’s visit to New Delhi was not disclosed. It is said in Raj Bhavan circles that he has gone to New Delhi for personal reasons.
At the same time, he will pay a courtesy call on President Dravupati Murmu and Vice President Jagdeep Dhankar in New Delhi. It is also said that there is a chance to meet Prime Minister Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah. The Governor is likely to return to Chennai by the end of this week.
