Salem: AIADMK co-ordinator and opposition leader Palanisamy did not vote in yesterday’s election as his hometown is in the rural local body.

Palanisamy Edappadi, who was the then Chief Minister in the last Lok Sabha and Assembly elections, cast his vote in Chiluvampalayam village under the Assembly constituency. He is currently the Leader of the Opposition in the village of Chiluvampalayam, next to his hometown of Edappadi. The village is under the Rural Local Body. Thus, in yesterday’s urban local elections Leader of the Opposition Palanisamy did not vote.
