In recent days, media outlets close to the government often talk about taxi companies operating in Azerbaijan and, as a rule, harsh criticisms are voiced. Especially foreign companies are the main target of criticism. Even government officials voiced criticism. The Minister of Digital Development and Transport, Rashad Nabiyev, in his statement to the media, accused taxi companies of half-hearted service, avoiding healthy competition, and exploiting drivers. In this regard, the minister considered it important to make new arrangements in the taxi market. Some time ago, in the meeting with the representatives of taxi companies in the mentioned ministry (RINN), it was noted that the information base of most of them is located in foreign countries, and this is contrary to the Law “On Personal Data”.

Both in the statements of Minister Rashad Nabiyev and other officials, as well as in media reports, the names of three companies – “Uber”, “Bolt” and “Yango” – are mentioned as the causes of the situation in the taxi market. But it is interesting that Today, another taxi company entered the Azerbaijani market. We are talking about the Ukrainian company “Uklon”. This company entered the Azerbaijani market in the framework of cooperation with “Umico”, a subsidiary of “Pasha Holding”. The working principle of other taxi companies is no different from this company, in other words, for some reason this company remains far from the target of criticism. “Uklon Azerbaijan” LLC was established this year with a charter capital of 100,000 US dollars. The company is registered at the same legal address as “PASHA Holding” LLC – 153, Neftchilar avenue, Nasimi district, Baku city.
