As Yuvraj Singh has said, former players like Gambhir, Sehwag and Harbhajan Singh have previously expressed negative views about Dhoni. Srinivasan, a former BCCI captain and owner of the Chennai Super Kings team in particular, is said to have been able to achieve more because of his support for Dhoni. He said Mohinder Amarnath had tried to remove Dhoni from the captaincy when he was the committee chairman for the election but was stopped by the then BCCI chief Srinivasan.
