The inflation rate rose to 6.4 percent in June. In particular, there is a striking divergence in the development of energy prices for natural gas and heating oil. Why is that?

Little by little, many tenants are now receiving the utility bills for 2022. Even if many expected that it could be expensive, the additional payments are often a shock. Depending on personal circumstances, the advance payments for the current year will also be noticeably increased.

Energy is no longer such a driver of inflation as it was last year. At least, however, energy prices have risen by 3 percent over the year. There are now clear differences depending on the energy source: heating oil was 36.5 percent cheaper, while natural gas was 20.8 percent more expensive.
