The “concerts of saucepans” have heckled the movements of Emmanuel Macron and members of the government since April 17. During his speech, the President of the Republic announced that he wanted “one hundred days of peace”but opponents of pension reform, equipped with pans, do not hear it that way.
Despite the hubbub caused by the demonstrators, Emmanuel Macron multiplies public outings. According to Gaspard Gantzer, specialist in political communication, it is to prove “that contact with the French is not broken”. The executive must however hope that the anger will be less noisy with the arrival of the summer holidays.
But, as several ministers recognized in The Parisian on April 27, some of them say they are tired by this anger that does not let go of them during their travels.
