‘Why is Hardik Pandya not in the Indian Test team!’; The Aussie legend expressed surprise

by time news

Former Australian legend Ian Chappell doesn’t understand why all-rounder Hardik Pandya is not part of the Indian Test squad.

Despite the absence of key players like Pat Cummins and David Warner, the Aussies won the third Test of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy against India by nine wickets. Cameron Green’s playing as a substitute in the playing eleven is considered crucial.

Pandya has not featured in the Indian Test team since 2018. Currently he is the captain of India’s Twenty20 team. Many say that Pandya cannot bowl for long. But have you listened to medical experts or talked to cricket pundits? If Pandya wants to play, he should be included in the Indian Test team. He’s a good batsman, bowls decently and is a good fielder,” Chappell told ESPN Cricinfo.

Chappell also stated that Australia needs Cameron Green and India needs Hardik Pandya to balance the team.
