Vision Pro can also be ordered online on Apple’s website. We tried this a few weeks ago. From the website you are directed to an iPhone app that measures the future owner’s face using a camera. This is to determine the exact size of the fire seal and the sides.
We did that and soon after flew to Berlin to participate in the exhibition to the glasses that we had already organized. On site it is clear that the light seal does not fit well, luckily there are other sizes. The best place to try Vision Pro is at an Apple Store. There, wearable lenses are measured with their license and corrective lenses installed, which Apple has for different prescriptions. Corrective lenses are not large, but they change the space between the eyes. That is why the fire seal and repair should be tried out and bought together.
Appointments can be made quickly
To make an appointment at an Apple Store, you sign in with your Apple ID. The Vision Pro is fitted in the store, then there is a half-hour demonstration. The day does not seem to be in high demand. Last week we could have booked an appointment at the Apple Store Frankfurt almost around the clock.
The author wears progressive lenses. To make corrective lenses, we re-measure our eyes by an optician. Ideally, a valid prescription is essential when ordering prescription lenses from Zeiss. Contact lens prescriptions are not accepted. Glasses cost 170 euros. There are also restrictions when using contact lenses, which Apple explains in a support document.
