Recently, the sale of Sonakshi Sinha’s lavish house in Mumbai is in full swing. This house located in Bandra West is the same where the actress married Zaheer Iqbal on June 23. According to new reports, Sonakshi has now bought a new house. Although, there has been no response from her regarding this but a source close to her said, ‘Sonakshi has bought a big apartment in the building which Zaheer is taking.’ Let us tell you that, Zaheer made his Bollywood debut with ‘The Notebook’ (2019), hails from a family that runs a construction business. Last year on Diwali, the actress shared a glimpse of her house with Bombay Times. It was a special place for her as it was the first house she bought on her own. Sonakshi said, ‘It was because of my father Shatrughan Sinha that I wanted to buy my own house. He fondly talks about the first house he bought after coming to Mumbai from Patna, which he still owns. It is a 1BHK apartment in Bandstand (Bandra). For him, it is like his palace. Seeing his enthusiasm, I always wanted to buy a house for myself and it is a special feeling.’
I bought the apartment a year ago
Sonakshi first revealed the purchase of the apartment through an Instagram post in May 2023. A few months later, she gave a tour of the house in a video for Architectural Digest India. According to Hindustan Times, she bought the apartment in March 2020. By September 2023, she bought another apartment in the same building for Rs 11 crore.
Marriage to Zaheer Iqbal
Sonakshi Sinha, who registered her marriage with Zaheer Iqbal in the apartment, shared heartwarming pictures from the event. To prevent any negative comments about their inter-caste marriage, she had turned off comments on the post. The couple had a civil marriage and despite their different religious backgrounds, Sonakshi, who is a Hindu, did not convert to Islam.
