But another record could well tarnish this unprecedented urban project: the number of fatal accidents occurring on construction sites. Thursday morning, a 22-year-old worker died in Gonesse (Val-d’Oise), “victim of a falling concrete blockon the construction site of metro line 17. The Parisian revealed his identity a little later in the morning: Seydou Fofana was a 22-year-old Malian worker, employed by LIF TP, a subsidiary of the Lhotellier Group.
