why looking for shivling in every mosque asks RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat, – News18 Tamil

Controversy has erupted over the presence of a Shiva lingam at the Gyanwapi Mosque near the Viswanathar Temple in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh. Hindu and Islamic parties have filed a lawsuit in this regard. As both sides put their side evidence and arguments before the court, RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat made a key point on the Gyanwapi affair.

Speaking at an event in Nagpur, Maharashtra, Mohan Bhagwat said, “We are paying special attention to some places of worship. But with that, it is unnecessary for us to stir up controversy on a daily basis.

We cannot change history. It was not created by today’s Hindus or Islamists. It took place during that time. Hindus do not think against Islamists. The ancestors of today’s Islamists are also Hindus. Therefore, we must find a solution through dialogue between ourselves. Otherwise seek redress in court. We are not against any form of worship. We respect the sanctity of all. “

The trial is set to begin on July 4. The court dismissed the petition, which was filed in the Allahabad High Court seeking to have the Taj Mahal examined as a Hindu temple, just like Gyanwapi.
