Kim Ye-ji (32, Imsil County Office), who won a silver medal in the women’s 10m air pistol shooting event at the Paris Olympics, showed off her chic charm through a pictorial for the world-famous luxury brand Louis Vuitton.
Fashion magazine W Korea posted a pictorial of Kim Ye-ji on its official Instagram on the 30th of last month. The pictorial shows Kim Ye-ji wearing a Louis Vuitton outfit and striking a shooting pose. Louis Vuitton, a sponsor of the Paris Olympics, also produced pictorials of national team athletes who showed impressive performances at the Paris Olympics, including fencing athlete Oh Sang-wook, in addition to Kim Ye-ji.
In an interview conducted along with the filming, Kim Ye-ji said, “(After receiving the filming offer) I thought, ‘There are other gold medalists, but why me?’ I still wonder why Elon Musk mentioned me.” Tesla CEO Elon Musk previously showed interest by commenting on Kim Ye-ji’s game video, saying, “(Kim Ye-ji) should be cast in an action movie. She doesn’t even need to act.”
Kim Ye-ji continued, “The public remembers Olympic stars for a shorter period of time than I thought. I thought they would think of shooting as I appear in the media more,” explaining why she agreed to the photo shoot. She said, “Training and competition schedules are my top priority right now,” and “My goal is always me.” She also expressed her ambition, saying, “I want to be remembered as ‘Kim Ye-ji, the good shooter’ in the future.”
