Peshawar: Former Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan has asked the judiciary to explain the need for a midnight inquiry into the no-confidence motion.

The no-confidence motion was brought against the government of Imran Khan who was the Prime Minister of Pakistan. The Deputy Speaker dismissed it, saying it contained a foreign conspiracy. The apex court, which heard the case voluntarily, quashed the speaker’s order at midnight and ordered a re-vote on the no – confidence motion. Imran Khan lost the by-poll. Shebaz Sharif has been sworn in as the new Prime Minister.
