This Sunday, January 28, two environmental activists sprayed soup on the armored glass protecting “The Mona Lisa”, exhibited at the Louvre Museum. They justified their action by their desire to promote in particular “the right to healthy and sustainable food”, noted an AFP journalist. According to the Louvre, they had hidden the pumpkin soup in a coffee thermos. The two women were placed in police custody for damage to classified or registered property, said the Paris prosecutor’s office.
