It’s a phenomenon: We all have sex, but it’s still a taboo topic – even in relationships. A sex and couples therapist explains why this is. And explains why routine in bed can be completely okay.

In a conversation with Lucia Schmidt, host of the health podcast and editor of the Frankfurter Allgemeine Sonntagszeitung, sex therapist Carsten Müller appeals for “sex talk” at all levels. People who have sex with each other should have no inhibitions about revealing their own sexual needs to the other person. Parents shouldn’t let it get out of their hands to talk to their children about sex in order to shape their own child’s knowledge and ideas. And family doctors should regularly ask their patients about sexual health and sexual satisfaction. Because it is a building block for well-being and enjoyment of life.
