As part of a special financial reward program for schools that excel in the field of values ​​and academics – all teaching staff in seven schools in Ashdod will receive between 3,300 NIS and 8,800 NIS, for excellence in the 2015 school year

The Ministry of Education publishes today the list of schools in the upper division, which excelled in the field of values, social and studies. The selection of the winning schools was made based on the weighting of a series of indicators in the values, social and academic fields, as well as according to the rate of improvement brought about by the educational institutions. The schools were selected according to the rate of change they were able to bring about, among other things, in: eligibility for matriculation, dropout prevention, admission of special education students, recruitment to the IDF/national service/civilian service.

In light of their achievements, the teaching staff at the winning schools will be rewarded with a monetary amount ranging from 3,297 NIS to approximately 8,793 NIS, this is in accordance with the agreement between the Ministry of Education, the teachers’ organization and the Ministry of Finance, as part of the “Oz for a return” reform.

In the city of Ashdod there are seven schools:

  • Comprehensive D – 8,793.25 NIS per teacher (level 1)
  • Comprehensive H – 6,594.94 NIS per teacher (level 2)
  • Comprehensive 9th – 6,594.94 NIS per teacher (level 2)
  • Ort Yimi – NIS 6,594.94 per teacher (level 2)
  • The high school yeshiva – NIS 4,396.63 per teacher (level 3)
  • Comprehensive C – NIS 4,396.63 per teacher (level 3)
  • Comprehensive A – NIS 3,297.46 per teacher (level 4)

The recruitment rate for the IDF, or for civil/national service, the prevention of student dropouts, the absorption of special education students, and the degree of closeness to a matriculation certificate among the students who are not entitled to a full certificate. Also, the degree of improvement compared to previous achievements.

  • In terms of educational achievements, the following parameters are determined:

The achievements in light of the Mitzav tests in elementary and high school and in light of the nurturing indicators, the percentage of eligibility for matriculation, the percentage of excellence in the matriculation tests, the percentage of eligibility for a high-quality matriculation certificate, the degree of improvement compared to the previous year’s achievements.
