They reported seeing two individuals passed out inside the car. Responding to the call, officers approached the vehicle, but the driver suddenly started the engine and attempted to flee the scene.

In the chaotic escape, the driver collided with one of the pursuing officers, knocking him down and driving over his legs. The injured officer was immediately rushed to the hospital, where he is currently being treated for serious but stable injuries.
