In terms of sport, Max Kruse‘s district league debut went satisfactorily. Away from the pitch, the ex-professional footballer draws a sobering conclusion: his wife was apparently insulted.
Around six months after the end of his professional career, ex-footballer Max Kruse returned to the pitch. Last weekend, the striker made his debut in the district league for the reserve team of the Berlin club BSV Al-Dersimspor. The game against the third representative of the Spandauer Kickers ended in a 1-1 draw, with Kruse providing the assist for the goal.
Off the pitch, however, things weren’t going as well for Kruse – and especially for his wife Dilara. She was the victim of insults, as Kruse announced in his Instagram story. During a fuel stop in his car, the 36-year-old took the time to reflect on his district league debut.
“Actually, everything went quite okay. It was actually fun, the weather was great,” Kruse begins positively. He did suffer pain in his hip and a blow to his calf due to the artificial turf pitch, “but overall I think everything was fine in terms of sport,” Kruse continued.
“I don’t give a shit”
But then he gets to the negative: “I have to address one thing again. I know that trash talk is part of it on and off the pitch, but just leave my wife out of it,” he says. His wife Dilara was there to cheer him on and was insulted. He himself didn’t hear the insults on the pitch, but his wife later showed him videos.
“There are people who aren’t as relaxed about it as I am. I don’t give a shit about it, but you don’t have to drag my wife into it,” he demands. “If you scream ‘Fuck Max’ or whatever, that’s all because of me. But insult my wife and then want to take photos with me,” he criticizes the fans.
“I think something like that goes below the belt, you should question yourself a little, it’s just not part of it. If you’re on me, no problem, I don’t care at all, but let’s leave my wife out of it “, Kruse ends his statement.
