WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange may be extradited to the US

American victory: The UK court has today (Friday) decided to accept the appeal filed by the US regarding the court’s decision of January this year that WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange will not be extradited to the US.

Assange, who has been in custody for about two and a half years in the UK, is wanted in the US for leaking thousands of confidential documents between the two in 2010 and 2011. Earlier this year a UK court ruled he could not be extradited due to his mental condition, but judges were convinced Reduce the risk of suicide.

Asange, Assange was arrested in April 2019, after staying at the Ecuadorian embassy for seven years during which he received political asylum after being convicted in a Swedish court on rape charges.
