Strictly Come Dancing features Icons Week on BBC One with a Madonna and Dolly Parton tribute lineup, while competitor Delta Goodrem sits out with an injury, receiving a bye through to next week.
The dance floor welcomes its fourth week of competition as celebrities and professionals take on Icons Week. Having passed away from cancer in August at 80 years old, Parton remains celebrated as one of history’s most accomplished country music stars.
The current series is hosted by Emma Willis, Johannes Radebe, and Josh Widdicombe. Choreographer Jake Leigh noted that the routines span from the 1980s up to 2026, featuring maximum production numbers, including a moment where Jowita Przystał takes on the 2000 Music era of Madonna.
Leaderboard Standings and Will Best’s Baby Joy
At the top of the leaderboard, Cach Mercer and Maddie Ingoldsby earned a score of 34 for their foxtrot to Theme From New York, New York by Frank Sinatra. Tied with them are Jaime Winstone and Carlos Gu, who pulled in a matching 34 for their paso doble to David Bowie’s Let’s Dance. At the other end of the rankings, Dame Sarah Storey and Julian Caillon sit at the bottom with 21 points after dancing their tango to That Don’t Impress Me Much by Shania Twain.
Closing out the Saturday show, Will Best and Dianne Buswell performed a jive to Elton John’s “Crocodile Rock”. The routine earned him a 7, 8, 8, and 8, giving him a total of 31—his highest score yet in the competition. The contestant balanced heavy rehearsals alongside welcoming his first child into the world with his partner Tobi Rose.
What’s worse @iamwillbest, a new born baby and no sleep, leaning the jive on no sleep OR learning the jive at the same time as having a new born baby AND no sleep?
Tobi Rose
Judges offered high praise for the performance. Motsi Mabuse told him, I love that you are so consistent.
