China wants to reduce India’s influence in the Indian Ocean region by lending huge sums of money for development projects in Southeast and South Asian countries, the report said.
By Loans:
Papers presented at the conference suggest that China is trying to increase its influence in India’s neighboring countries through loans. The three-day annual conference was attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, National Security Advisor Ajit Doval and 350 top police officers of the country.
With neighboring countries:
In the last 25 years, China’s economy and military have grown enormously, the reports said. At the same time, China’s activities in India’s neighboring countries have increased at a similar pace.
To reduce the influence of…:
China’s motive behind doing all this is clear, the report said. Also, the report says that China is doing this to prevent India’s development. By reducing India’s influence, China wants to assert itself not only in Asia, but globally.

China is spending huge sums of money in India’s neighbors Pakistan, Nepal, Bangladesh, Myanmar and Sri Lanka in the name of infrastructure development and other financial assistance, according to a report submitted by the country’s top IPS officer.
