The Legal Adviser to the Government submitted today (Monday) to the Tel Aviv Magistrate’s Court an order to prevent threatening harassment against Rami Ben Yehudaa prominent Likud activist, in relation to the Deputy State Attorney for Economic Enforcement, Adv Liat Ben-Arithe plaintiff in the Netanyahu cases, and her family members, among other things, for publications he published regarding her son.
The court ordered that until a decision is reached, Ben Yehuda will be prohibited from contacting Ben-Ari and her family, by himself or through others on his behalf, directly or indirectly, and from harassing them in any way. In the application submitted by Atty Nir Gancharsky From the Tel Aviv District Attorney’s Office, in cooperation with the Civil Enforcement Unit at the State Attorney’s Office, the court was asked to order Ben Yehuda to refrain from publishing on social networks and on the Facebook account called “Haam Me Binyamin” any publication concerning the son of Advocate Ben-Ari, and to remove any publication. The court was asked to order Ben Yehuda to stay away from Ben Ari and her family members.
In the meantime, the legal advisor to the government, Waves in Harv-Miarastated that “in years whose clear purpose is to loosen the hands of public servants, to threaten them and discourage them from fulfilling their public duties. She also stated that “for the sake of the public and for its benefit, and of course to protect public servants who will not suffer from harassment, intimidation, etc. The Legal Advisor to the Government and the State Attorney will act in the appropriate cases by all the means allowed by the law in order to eradicate harm to public servants who work for the public’s benefit.”
As mentioned, Ben Yehuda posted on the Facebook page “The Right with Binyamin” a video concerning Ben-Ari and her family members, in which he expresses himself in a violent and blunt manner while directly addressing Ben-Ari and her son. This request was submitted following the order issued by the Magistrate’s Court in Tel Aviv a few days ago, in which it was decided to grant protection to Ben-Ari.
The application submitted to the court states that “Ben Yehuda often verbally attacks, and that in the past complaints were filed against him and even justification was found to issue a violation order to prevent threatening harassment, regarding the wife of MK Ze’ev Elkin, and under the circumstances there is a real and tangible fear of physical harm.”
