Actress Kangana Ranaut is now Member of Parliament or MP. He stood for BJP from Mandi in Himachal. But one has filed a lawsuit challenging his win. The question is whether Kangana is going to lose the position of MP? Meanwhile, the Himachal Pradesh High Court has sent a notice to Kangana on Wednesday following the application of the case.
According to local media reports, the petitioner’s Layakram Negi told the court that he had submitted his nomination as an independent candidate in the Mandi Lok Sabha constituency. But the returning officer declared his nomination invalid.
Now he demanded to cancel the entire election process of Mandi Lok Sabha constituency.
Negi, a resident of Kinnar in Himachal, is a former government employee. In this case, he was asked to submit a ‘no dues’ certificate from the concerned government office along with the nomination paper. Negi claims that he submitted his documents as per the rules. But then within a day he was asked to submit ‘no dues’ certificate from electricity, water and telephone department. And the nominations were canceled without giving time to submit them.
Negi claimed to have submitted the necessary papers a day after submitting the nomination. He says that the concerned returning officer did not accept it.
It is to be noted that ‘Queen of Bollywood’ Kangana Ranaut was nominated by BJP from Mandi Lok Sabha seat. His rival in the election was Vikramaditya, son of six-time Congress Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh. Kangana Ranaut got 74755 votes and sat in the parliament seat.
