The contract between the Lithuanian airports and the airline was signed after the international selection of the operator of the flights between Vilnius and Dusseldorf.
“For the past year, we have worked hard to ensure convenient connections between Lithuania and Germany. Another destination that has been contributing since autumn is Düsseldorf, which is one of the main economic centers of Germany. After the launch of this route, we will have flights to even six of the largest German airports and ten regular routes between Lithuania and Germany in the LTOU network”, – Minister of Transport Marius Skuodis is quoted in the report.
It is announced that direct flights from Vilnius to Düsseldorf will be operated twice a week. It is planned that the flights will be operated throughout the year, both during the summer and winter aviation seasons.
Located in the western part of Germany, the city of Dusseldorf is a financial and industrial center, and Dusseldorf Airport is among the largest airports in Germany, serving the needs of passengers from several large regions of the country.
