Mumbai: The Indian cricket team has a busy schedule in fixed over cricket. After the ODI series against Sri Lanka ends, India will play three ODIs and T20 matches each at home against New Zealand. The first ODI is on 18th of this month in Hyderabad. The second ODI will be played in Raipur on 21st and the final match will be played in Indore on 24th. After that, Ranchi will be the venue for the first T20 on 27th. The second T20 will be played in Lucknow on 29th. The third match will be played in Ahmedabad on 29th.

The squad for the series will be announced in the coming days. All the players who played against Sri Lanka are likely to retain their position. But there is ambiguity in the case of Malayalee star Sanju Sassamon and pacer Jasprit Bumrah. Sanju was in the Indian squad for the T20 series against Lanka. But after getting injured in the first match, he was ruled out of the rest of the matches.

Fans are looking forward to Ishan Kishan as the back up keeper. If Sanju’s injury resolves before the series, he may be considered for the T20 squad. Jitesh Sharma joined the team when Sanju was out. Whether Jitesh will be retained also remains a question. There were earlier reports that Bumrah’s return would be delayed. Whether KS Bharat will be considered for the team is another matter.

India’s probable squad for ODI series against New Zealand: Rohit Sharma, Subhman Gill, Virat Kohli, Shreyas Iyer, KL Rahul, Hardik Pandya, Axar Patel, Mohammad Shami, Umran Malik, Mohammad Siraj, Yuzvendra Chahal, Suryakumar Yadav, Washington Sundar, Kuldeep Yadav, Ishan Kishan, Arshdeep Singh.

T20 Possible XI: Ishan Kishan, Shubman Gill, Suryakumar Yadav, Sanju Samson, Hardik Pandya, Deepak Hooda, Axar Patel, Harshal Patel, Shivam Mavi, Umran Malik, Yuzvendra Chahal, Rituraj Gaekwad, Washington Sundar, Arshdeep Singh, Rahul Tripathi, Mukesh Kumar.
