The new law approved today by the Ministerial Committee will prohibit direct importers from committing the following acts: an act that may result in parallel imports being harmed and as a result competition in the industry may be harmed. An act whose main purpose is to prevent or reduce competition from parallel imports. This prohibition does not focus on the possible impact of the act on competition in the relevant industry, but on the purpose of the act. That is, any act whose primary purpose is to prevent or reduce parallel imports, is prohibited under the Bill.
