There is an Anganwadi at Gullar market in Virudhunagar. Behind it, a damaged private building has been left standing in a half-demolished condition. This causes it to collapse and weaken neighboring buildings and sometimes lead to accidents.
The dilapidated buildings are being demolished and the damaged structures are being repaired by the Rural Development Department. This includes Anganwadis, Panchayat Schools and Satnu Khams. These buildings are being completely demolished. But in private buildings demolition work is not done completely. Therefore, the rural development department should come forward to order the respective panchayat administrations to monitor this.
