Will there be a match between Korean players in the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) Champions League (UCL), also known as the ‘stage of dreams’?
On the 29th (Korean time), with the 2024-2025 season UCL playoff schedule all over, national soccer team midfielder Hwang In-beom and defender Seol Young-woo’s team Zvezda (Serbia) dramatically boarded the last train to the main tournament.
On the other hand, Midtjylland (Denmark), which includes Jo Gyu-seong and Lee Han-beom, was defeated by Bratislava (Czech Republic) and failed to reach their dream stage.

Each team will play a total of 8 games, 4 at home and 4 away. Based on this record, the teams ranked 1st to 8th will advance directly to the round of 16, while the teams ranked 9th to 24th will play in a playoff to determine the remaining 8 teams.
The teams are divided into 9th to 16th places and 17th to 24th places, and their opponents are determined by a draw, and home and away games are played.
The UCL draw will be held in Monaco at dawn on the 30th, Korean time.
As the competition operation method changes, there is a possibility that Lee Kang-in’s PSG and Kim Min-jae’s Munich, both in pot 1, will be in the same group.
There is also a possibility that a match could take place between Celtic with Yang Hyun-jun in port number 3 and Zvezda with Hwang In-beom and Seol Young-woo.
Son Heung-min’s Tottenham Hotspur, who failed to qualify for the UCL last season, will participate in the Europa League, one level lower.
