The hockey players of Pardubice beat Litvínov 3:0 in the second semi-final of the extra league playoff and lead 2:0 in the four-game series.

Right after a few seconds of the second half, Sedlák could have added a second goal, but Tomek managed the shot of captain Pardubice. Not even the active Adam Musil surpassed him.
After all, Verva started to attack more. Will’s attention was tested by Zygmunt and Ondřej Kaše, but they did not manage to match. Havelka did not make it through the break in weakness. In the middle of the match, the guests played a power play for the first time in the series, but the East Bohemians defended themselves without any major problems.
At the beginning of the third period, Dvořák, Kaut and Hyka had promising opportunities, but none of them could add Dynamo’s second goal. The North Bohemians tried to press into the attack, the Verva coaches reduced the game to three formations, but the guests did not manage to assert themselves against the carefully defending home team.
The visitors had a unique chance to equalize when Dvořák was sent off in the 55th minute. They took a timeout before the power play, but they couldn’t overcome Will. In addition, they conceded twice during the final power play.
“I have to praise the opponent for the last part, when you could see that they were extremely confident that they would not concede goals. I praise our team for the fact that we fulfilled half of the plan – that the opponent did not break us. We did not make a mistake, that was a positive. The negative was that at least we didn’t manage to equalise,” said the Lithuanian coach Karel Mlejnek.
