Düsseldorf Right on the first page of the annual report there is a sentence that is crucial for the 180-year-old Werhahn family group: “In the currently challenging times, the focus must be even more than usual on securing the value and existence of the group of companies for those who follow, if possible to multiply.”
In view of the recession and the climate crisis, this is a major task for CEO Paolo Dell’Antonio, who has been running the company since 2018. Werhahn is active in three business areas: construction, consumer goods and financial services. So far, this diversification has paid off in every crisis.
However, the great current challenges are also putting the family company’s recipe for success to the test. This is also shown by the figures presented by the three-person management of the group on Wednesday. Sales amounted to 4.3 billion euros, eight percent more than in the previous year.
