In the coming week Microsoft wants to present the new version of its Windows operating system – company boss Satya Nadella has already promised the “biggest update of the decade”. The first details of the Windows 10 successor have now been leaked.
A preliminary version of Windows 11 is circulating on the Internet, revealing a newly designed user interface for the operating system. Numerous screenshots of this have already appeared on Twitter, among others.
The most noticeable change compared to its predecessor can be seen in the taskbar: The start button has disappeared from the left corner, instead it is located together with program icons in the middle of the start menu.

If you click on the start menu, it will open in its own window and will no longer pop up as usual. It dispenses with animated tiles, only shows apps and the most recently used files.
A new design with rounded corners is also clearly recognizable. Both the Windows 11 windows and the menus are designed in this way.

A switch indicates that widgets can be used again in Windows 11. According to reports, this feature cannot be used in the leaked pre-release version.
