WisdomTree is making a strategic move into the growing market of tax-efficient separately managed accounts, or SMAs, through a partnership with Quorus, a tech-based asset manager.
Collaboration Details
The collaboration enables Quorus to incorporate WisdomTree’s investment strategies, which have held a minority equity stake in the company since June. These strategies will be available on Quorus’ platform, expanding WisdomTree’s reach in the SMA market.
Financial advisors can now leverage WisdomTree model portfolios with integrated trading, eliminating additional platform, trading, or rebalancing costs. Registered investment advisors also gain access to strategies through Charles Schwab’s marketplace.
Quorus’ Recent Funding
Quorus, based in New York City, launched in 2022 and specializes in personalized, tax-efficient investment solutions. The company recently secured approximately $4.6 million in an equity seed funding round, part of a roughly $5 million offering from about four investors, according to a Form D filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

Thomas Skrobe, head of portfolio solutions at WisdomTree, highlighted the significance of this venture. “Tax-Efficient SMAs are among the fastest-growing investment vehicles, and this investment positions WisdomTree to tap into this high-demand market segment,” Skrobe said. “Through Quorus’ innovative platform, we are expanding our reach to advisors who use SMAs. Most importantly, we’re expanding our Portfolio Solutions platform to offer advisors multiple ways to evolve and manage their portfolios to best meet their clients’ investing needs.”
