With a knife in hand, a thief manages to take 24 thousand pesos, robbed a store dedicated to selling mattresses.

The robbery happened on Tuesday afternoon, at the branch of the mattress store located on Diagonal Reforma boulevard and Álvarez avenue in the Centro de Torreón sector.

According to the first reports, a man dressed in a white shirt and gray pants came to the store, who approached the counter and suddenly began to hit the manager of the place, para later take out from between his clothes a knife with which he threatened to kill him and demanded that he hand over his belongings, for which the man gave him his cell phone and wallet.

Later, the thief asked him for the money he had, managing to seize the amount of 24 thousand pesos, and then left the store and fled towards Cuatro Caminos.

The person affected suffered an acute nervous breakdown, however, he managed to get out to ask for help, for which he contacted the State Emergency line 911, and the agents of the Municipal Public Security Directorate came to the aid, who upon arrival requested the presence of Red Cross paramedics so that the person affected could receive medical attention for his condition.

Lifeguards on board the ambulance helped the man who was found to have injuries to his face and bodywhich did not endanger his life, and after stabilizing him they withdrew from the place.

The policemen began to search for the person involved in the robbery, however, despite their efforts, they were unable to find his whereabouts, so they returned to the store and directed the affected person, so that he can file the corresponding complaint with the investigating agent of the police as soon as possible.
