The National Oil Corporation said that the Mellitah Oil and Gas Company succeeded in reopening the gas well No. “CW04” located on the Sabratha offshore platform (Bahr Al-Salam field) and putting it into production, after it stopped production on January 28, 2021 due to technical problems.

The corporation added that the total production of the well amounted to about 37 million cubic feet per day of gas, while the amount of condensate is estimated at about 1,000 barrels per day, according to a statement issued by the National Oil Corporation.

The Corporation pointed out that the Sabratha offshore platform is one of the largest production platforms in Libya, and this well represents an important part of its production operations, and its reopening comes as part of Mellitah Company’s efforts to increase production and make the most of the available resources.
