PAS Ioannina WBC is one win away from staying in the A1 Women’s category after securing 9th place in the regular season of the championship.
John Margariti’s team won 89-84 against OA Chania in the last game and in the playoffs they will face the bottom ranked team Dafni Agios Dimitrios, which they have beaten twice in the championship. The wins are also transferred to the playoffs and the team that will reach three wins will also win their stay in A1.
PAS Ioannina showed from the start how much they want the game and were able to build a double-digit difference in the middle of the second quarter, with the visitors lowering their price to six points at half-time. The same scenario was repeated in the third period, with the Chania team reaching the point difference. Two three-pointers by Provo in the last quarter gave the team from Ioannina a breather, which reached its 7th victory in the league.
