Influenced by Black Friday, small Brazilian businesses earned R$411.5 million in online sales in November. The result represents an increase of 32% compared to the same period of the previous year, according to data from the e-commerce platform Nuvemshop.

The company says that the growth in revenue is due to the strategy of running promotions not only on Black Friday, but also throughout the month.

“Black November emerged as an alternative to avoid the high competition of Black Friday, increasing the duration of promotions, which allows acquiring new customers and increasing loyalty among those who already buy from the store, further boosting revenue”, said Luiz Natal, development manager at Nuvemshop, in a press release. Regarding payment options, credit cards stand out with 50% of the means used. Pix comes in 2nd place with a 40% share.

“In the analysis, sales made throughout the month of November by Nuvemshop’s Brazilian retailer base were considered”says the platform about the survey methodology.
