With a ceremony, music and a cake, elements of the Secretariat of Citizen Security (SSC) celebrated the 83rd anniversary of the creation of the Banking and Industrial Police (PBI).
He titular of the SSC, Pablo Vázquezrecognized the work carried out by the women and men who are part of the corporation by highlighting that they have been a key piece for the security of the Mexico City“always demonstrating a firm commitment to the protection and well-being of our communities.”
For this reason, the Chief of Police presented 192 decorations to the Social Merit, Police Courage, Perseverance and Specialized Performance; In addition, 880 grade promotions were delivered.
The commissioner Chief Elpidio de la Cruz Contreras, general director of the PBI, celebrated that today it is a strengthened institution that currently has a strength of 18,368 police officers.
“I call on you to continue reinforcing the principles of discipline, honesty and loyalty that characterizes us, so that we continue to be the referent and may the Institution serve many more years,” he highlighted.
The person in charge of Dispatch of the Attorney General’s Office (FGJ) of Mexico City, Ulises Lara, highlighted that they must continue to strengthen coordination between the capital’s police to guarantee security and access to justice.
