With financial difficulty, Red Cross will dismiss about 10% of its employees

The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) has asked Switzerland, one of its main donors, to help it overcome the financial difficulties that have recently led it to announce major layoffs. Like other organizations, the ICRC is being affected by rising costs linked to inflation and falling donor generosity, mainly because of the huge funds earmarked by Kiev’s allies to help Ukraine repel Russia.
