With Pan American champions, Capital hosts Brazilian Rhythmic Gymnastics – Sports

The event will bring together the main Brazilian adult athletes and will have the Copa Brasil de Conjuntos Juvenil

Campo Grande will be the center of attention of Rhythmic Gymnastics from next June 28th. The Capital will host the adult Brazilian Championship of the modality and the Copa Brasil de Conjuntos Juvenil. The event is the main sport in the national calendar and the presentations will be at Ginásio Guanandizão.

The beginning of the event is scheduled for the 28th of June with the training sessions. The competitions will take place in the following days until the 2nd of July. Entrance to the gym is free and open to the public.

This modality is a type of gymnastics developed with body movements based on elements of ballet and theatrical dance, in a mixture of art, creativity and physical capacity.

In 2022, Campo Grande hosted the Brazilian Artistic Gymnastics Championship in the same location. The events are organized by the CBG (Brazilian Gymnastics Confederation).

The technical director of FGMS (Gymnastics Federation of Mato Grosso do Sul), Eliane Nagano, is responsible for coordinating the Brazilian in the state. She detailed how the event will be scheduled.

The Campeonato Brasileiro Loterias Caixa de Ginástica Artística will be held together with the Copa Brasil de Conjuntos. There are two events that will bring together the best athletes in Brazil. They will join the Pan American champions who will represent the country at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games”, he explained.

In all, there will be 53 clubs from 17 federative units in Brazil, totaling 140 athletes. Mato Grosso do Sul will participate in the adult competition with two clubs, totaling seven athletes.

In the Copa Brasil de Conjuntos, there will be 50 athletes from nine clubs. In this competition, there will be no athletes from Mato Grosso do Sul.

The times that the public from Mato Grosso do Sul should pay more attention to see the state’s competitors were informed by Elaine. The periods are on the 29th, from 8 am to 10:30 am, and on the 30th, from 11 am to 12:30 pm.

Eliane Nagano explains the importance of the event for the modality. “At title level even to have the champion team of Brazil. For us to host a competition of this level, it is an honor. We have enough participants of the modality in the State. The main thing is the promotion of the modality”.

In addition, fans will be able to follow the main Rhythmic Gymnastics athletes in the country. In the last Pan American Rhythmic Gymnastics Championship, in Guadalajara (Mexico), Brazil dominated. The highlights were Bárbara Domingos and Geovanna Santos.

The competition has the support of Fundesporte (Sports and Leisure Foundation of Mato Grosso do Sul), Funesp (Municipal Sports Foundation of Campo Grande) and Loterias Caixa.
