Tricolor Basketball did well in Bauru. With a very strong collective performance and knowing how to manage the advantage, Tricolor defeated Bauru by 81 to 74, in the Pressure Cooker gym, and remained in the fight for the top positions in the NBB table. The highlights of the match were Miller (19 points, 5 rebounds and 1 assist), Bennett (18 points, 1 rebound and 6 assists) and Ansaloni (13 points, 9 rebounds and 3 assists).
With the result, São Paulo reaches 18 wins in 24 games and consolidates itself in third place, with 75% of points used. Tricolor Basketball returns to the court this Saturday, to face Caxias, at 4 pm, at the Morumbi gymnasium.
Even with the pressure from the opposing crowd, São Paulo showed its strength away from home in the first quarter and, practically, already forwarded the positive result. With an almost perfect first quarter, Bruno Mortari’s men won the period by 26 to 15. In the second quarter, the opponent managed to balance the match more and was tied at 17 to 17, but Tricolor took 11 points of advantage for the break : 43×32.
In the second half, Bauru made the game even more difficult for São Paulo, but the team from São Paulo showed a lot of balance. The home team won the third quarter by 22 to 19 and the last period by 20 to 19, but failed to take advantage of São Paulo obtained in the first half. And São Paulo added another positive result in the fight for the title of the national competition.
