/ The Iraqi Football Association held a regular general assembly meeting today, Saturday, and approved the financial and administrative reports for the year 2022, and approved an estimated budget for the year 2024.

The Kurdistan Region clubs boycotted the meetings of the Iraqi Football Association held to discuss the regular general agenda of the association.

A statement by the union received by Agency stated that “the meeting was attended by the union’s president, Adnan Darjal, the first deputy president of the union, Ali Jabbar, the second deputy, Younis Mahmoud, members of the union’s executive office, Secretary-General Muhammad Farhan, Financial Secretary Kamel Adai, and members of the General Assembly. The meeting approved the financial and administrative reports for the year 2022.”

The President of the Federation thanked Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani for his unlimited support for the success of the Iraqi Stars League by allocating financial grants to the clubs to help them appear in the best possible way in the league, in which we find the real beginning of change for the better. He said that the Prime Minister’s support places a great responsibility on us to continue the path of excellence and lay the solid foundations for our football, praising the allocation of plots of land to the sub-federations to build headquarters and implement the pioneering and vital Dream Project.

Then, the vote auditors, namely Jawad Najm Al-Jabouri, Ahmed Salem Hatem, and Ali Khalaf, were unanimously approved, and the members to verify the minutes were appointed, namely Abdul Karim Iskandar, Hazem Timouz, and Ibrahim Salem.

The minutes of the previous General Assembly were unanimously approved, the audited financial statements were unanimously approved, the financial and administrative reports were unanimously approved, and the estimated budget for the year 2024 was also unanimously approved.
