/ The prices of “foreign and Iraqi” gold stabilized in the local markets in the capital, Baghdad, and in Erbil, the capital of the Kurdistan Region, today, Sunday, (January 28, 2023).

Agency correspondent said that gold prices in the wholesale markets on Al-Nahr Street in the capital, Baghdad, recorded this morning, the selling price of one weight of 21 carat of Gulf, Turkish and European gold at 424 thousand dinars, and the purchase price at 420 thousand dinars.

Our correspondent indicated that the selling price of one mithqal of 21 carat Iraqi gold was recorded at 394 thousand dinars, and the purchase price reached 390 thousand.

Regarding gold prices in goldsmiths’ shops, the selling price of a 21-carat Gulf gold mithqal ranges between 425,000 and 435,000 dinars, while the selling price of an Iraqi gold mithqal ranged between 395,000 and 405,000 dinars.

As for gold prices in Erbil, the selling price of 24 karat gold sold for 500 thousand dinars, 22 karat sold for 460 thousand dinars, 21 karat sold for 440 thousand dinars, and 18 karat sold for 380 thousand dinars.

One mithqal of gold is equal to five grams.

Dollar prices fell this Sunday morning in the markets of Baghdad and in Erbil, the capital of the Kurdistan Region.

Agency correspondent said that dollar prices fell with the opening of the Al-Kifah and Al-Harithiya stock exchanges to record 151,150 Iraqi dinars against 100 dollars, while yesterday, Saturday, prices were 151,400 dinars against 100 dollars.
