The Slovenian International Paralympic Championship, which qualifies for the Paris Olympics (2024), begins today, Tuesday, with the participation of more than forty-five countries, including Iraq.
The Vice President of the Paralympic Table Tennis Federation (Loay Al-Saray) said in a statement received by the (INA): “Iraq is participating in the Slovenia International 40-Point Championship, which is considered one of the strongest tournaments organized by the International Federation of the game.”
He added, “Najla Imad is the only player who will represent Iraq in the tournament, under the supervision of coach Hossam Hussein.”
It is noteworthy that the Iraqi player, Najla Imad, was crowned champion of the World Mini Table Tennis Championship, which was held in the Arab Republic of Egypt last January, after defeating the Ukrainian world champion, Marina Lytoshenko.
